Prof. Lia D. Kamhi-Stein
Bio: Lía D. Kamhi-Stein is professor and coordinator of the MA in TESOL Program at California State University, Los Angeles. She is originally from Argentina, where she was an EFL learner. She is a past president of California TESOL and served on TESOL’s Board of Directors (2004-2007). She has published widely in the TESOL field. Her research interests include issues of nonnative English-speaking teachers, language teacher identity, and TESOL teacher preparation.
Symposium Title: Exploring and Reflection on Teacher Identity in World Englishes Classrooms
Dr. Joshua Jodoin
Bio: Joshua Jodoin is a passionate educator and a recent PhD graduate in global environmental studies from Kyoto University. He works as an instructor at Konan University in Kobe, Japan. His research focuses on the nexus between language teaching and education for sustainable development and he has recently been published in the Encyclopedia of Sustainable Development Goals, the International Journal of Sustainability in Economic, Social, and Cultural Context, and Osaka JALT.
Heidi Faust
Bio: Heidi Faust, Director of Professional Learning & Research at TESOL International Association, is an English specialist, instructor, teacher educator, and PhD Candidate in Language, Literacy & Culture. Before joining the TESOL staff, she directed TESOL Professional Training Programs at the University of Maryland Baltimore County, which provided professional development to English Teachers in over 100 countries. Heidi has chaired TESOL's Social Responsibility and Intercultural Communication Interest Sections, and is a contributing author to the TESOL Press book Social Justice in English Language Teaching.
